Brian Bogers injury update
Brian Bogers is currently recovering from his foot injury that he sustained during training in Italy last November. Yesterday Bogers went for a consultation at the AZ St.-Elisabeth hospital in Herentals with foot/ankle specialist Anne van Riet.
Even though Bogers is ready to resume training, Dr van Riet has recommended that he rest for the next 6 weeks before Bogers can put pressure on his ankle again. Bogers' situation will be re-evaluated at the end of March, after which there will be more clarity about when Bogers will actually make his MXGP debut
However, Team HRC has not yet made a decision about a possible substitute for Bogers during the first races of the coming MXGP season.

Of course every racer wants his rehabilitation period to be over as quickly as possible, but I fully understand that my foot must first be 100% recovered before I can make my MXGP debut. The good news is that the recovery process seems to be going smoothly, even the doctor was impressed with the progress my foot has made in such a short period of time. Motocross is a tough sport and requires perfect physical condition, and that is our goal at the moment. It was a nice reunion with the team last week, and I can't wait to be able to race with them again. In the meantime, I will try to prepare as much as possible for the coming season.
