Superenduro: Cody Webb strongest in Germany
American Cody Webb (KTM) started the Superenduro World Championship with high ambitions. Yesterday he won the second round in Riesa. He narrowly defeated his compatriot Colton Haaker and Taddy Blazusiak. Blazusiak is now the new leader in the standings.
Lots of struggle, many falls and surprising twists in Germany. Webb won the first heat ahead of Haaker and Johnny Walker. The second was for Haaker who beat Alfredo Gomez and Webb. Gomez, back on Husqvarna after two years on KTM, was the fastest in the Superpole.
In the final heat, Haaker collided with another rider at the start. Blazusiak was first given 20 seconds for an unauthorized jump in the opening round. Afterwards, that penalty was reduced to 10 seconds, which cost super rookie Billt Bolt the final podium. So Webb ultimately won his second race of the evening.
Home driver Manuel Lettenbichler was somewhat below expectations with his seventh place. In the Juniors, home rider Jevin Gallas provided fireworks, he won the three heats!
