Dakar: Joan Barreda-Bort makes up for a lot!
The fifth stage of the Dakar rally became one to enjoy. In the drive from San Juan de Marcona to Arequipa Joan Barreda-Bort a lot of time to make up. The Spaniard won the stage over 266 kilometers with a lead of more than 10 minutes Matthias walkner. The Argentinian Kevin Benavidez (photo) came third and he rises to second place in the standings at exactly 1 minute! Today Maikel Smits was also the best Dutchman, he performed very well during his first Dakar Rally and is in thirtieth place.
