It will be available exclusively in the US from February 2018, but we didn't have the heart not to show you some photos of the new Husqvarna FC450 Rockstar Edition. As with KTM, there is a limited production of the machine. As a result, the brand meets the requirements of the AMA's 'production rule', which goes as follows. The machines used in the championship must be produced at least 400 times.
A lighter and more compact engine and a stiffer frame that gains 250 grams due to a new rear frame. There is also a new Pro Taper handlebar, a starter kit and a Rekluse clutch cover that give it a very 'Race Ready' character. Together with the 'Rockstar Energy' stickers, the bike looks very competitive.
Some reactions about the new engine of the Husqvarna 450 riders:
Jason Anderson: “It's great to be back on the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team. We have a really great team this year and I'm excited to get the season going. I'm also looking forward to racing the new FC 450 ROCKSTAR EDITION, and hope to keep it out front all season.”
Dean Wilson: “I'm really excited to be part of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team again. I had one of my best years ever in 2017 thanks to this team, and I'm looking forward to an even more successful 2018. I've been working so hard in the off-season and the bike is amazing. I'm at a good place with my fitness and health and I'm definitely ready for A1.”
Below you will find all the specifications about the new engine, which unfortunately will not be available in Europe. This FC 450 Rockstar edition is a prototype for the new FC 450 2019.
