GasGas returns to Dakar with a strong line-up!
This afternoon the Spanish brand GasGas announced that it will once again participate in the famous Dakar Rally Raid competition. They do this after an absence of two years, with the help of their parent company the Torrot Group, with three notable names. For example, 7-time Motocross Grand Prix winner Jonathan Barragan will make his debut in the 'Dakar' for the Spanish brand. In addition to this striking name, it also comes up with enduro great Johnny Aubert. The Frenchman, who won the world title in the E2 Enduro championship twice in the past, has already taken part in the Dakar Rally once in 2012.
As its third pilot it chooses the more experienced Cristian España, who is ready for his third time in the South American plains. For motocross fans this name is a big unknown, but for Rally Raid fans this name rings a bell because of the man's result in the previous Dakar. He finished 21st and won the overall ranking in the Marathon Class. The class in which pilots do not have an assistance truck and mechanic, so the class in which everything has to be done themselves.
