Todd Waters is working on the American dream
Todd Waters, mainly known to us after his passage at ICE1 racing, recently told our colleagues at MotoOnline.com.au. Indicated that he will participate in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship next season on a private Honda.
The details of this American adventure still need to be worked out further, but it is expected that Waters will travel to the states in April to participate in the first competition of the American outdoor championship on May 19 in Hangtown. Prior to this race, Waters will continue his preparation in New Zealand, competing in the Woodville GP and the opening race of the New Zealand Championship.
Waters:“America is definitely the direction I want to go, and my focus is mainly on the AMA championship. As a private pilot I have a number of good partners who support me. The plan is to go there and give it a try. I decided halfway through the season that I wanted to try this, and there's no turning back. I will also remain loyal to the same motorcycle manufacturer, and will contest both the American MX and Australian SX championships with Honda.”
Waters will also soon undergo surgery on his knee to repair a broken kneecap that he sustained during one of the last races of the Australian motocross championship. He will also have some screws removed from his shin bone, so that he can travel to America completely fit next summer.
