Livestream: Macau Street Race Grand Prix!
This weekend the 64th Macau Grand Prix will take place in Macau for various car disciplines. But motorcycles will also race over the legendary course for the 51st time. The Asian gambling paradise has a unique piece in racing to its crown with this competition, it is the only street race that has both motorcycles and cars racing around the circuit in the same weekend!
You can all follow this unique piece live via the official livestream of the Macau Grand Prix! Handy, right? You are probably wondering who is participating in this competition. No Belgians unfortunately, although street racing specialist and frequent IRRC champion Sebastien Le Grelle would undoubtedly do more than well. This also means that Didier de Radiguès, who won in 1991, will remain the only Belgian winner for a while. Who should you look for? If you regularly watch British Superbike on Eurosport, you will hear names like Peter Hickman, Glenn Irwin, and seven-time Macau winner Michael Rutter! Supplement this with the traditional street racing guns from the Isle-of-Man, Ulster Grand Prix and Northern 200 such as Connor Cummins known from the spectacular crash on the TT Circuit, Martin Jessop, Derek Sheils (photo left), IRRC pilot Didier Grams, Dan Kneen, Gary Johnson and many others... In short, you can conclude that a worthy successor will be found for, among others, the Radiguès, but also for names such as Carl Fogarty, Kevin Schwantz, Ron Haslam and Hiroshi Hasegawa
No motor racing, but interesting because of the Belgian participation, the SJM Macau GT Cup with the participation of Vanthoor in his Porsche, can also be viewed for free on the livestream. Only the WTCC will not be shown via livestream, but can be viewed via Eurosport.
