Dutch Supercross: Bowers and Starling again!
The result of the second day in Zuidbroek was not surprising. Saturday's winners in both the SX1 and SX2 did their trick again! Tyler Bowers (SX1) and Justin Starling (SX2) of course also took the overall victory in the Dutch Supercross.
The SX1 podium turned out somewhat unexpectedly. The Finnish Est Harry Kullas got the holeshot in the final and only had to let Bowers pass! To his own surprise, the Pol Motors rider not only took second place in the final, Kullas also finished second overall. Jace Owen finished third but ahead of the final podium Cole Martinez the lowest step.
In the SX2 class, Gared Steinke and Justin Starling each took care of a final. Steinke crashed in the second final, but recovered strongly and finished second. New Zealander Dylan Walsh surprisingly finished third.
The win went to Justin Starling, who not only became the winner of the day with a second and first place in the heats, but also took the overall victory! In the absence of Jens Getteman in the SX1 final or Jeffrey Meurs in the SX2 Bram van den Hoek the only lowlander who made it to the night show. However, Bram did more than that and managed to hold his own. Van den Hoek recorded a seventh and eighth place, which put him in a nice seventh place in the daily rankings!
