Cross news from the MCLB
Some M.C.L.B news recently reached our editorial staff, and of course we are happy to share them with you. For example, during the end-of-year cross in Stekene, registration will have to be made on site, and the championship tests have been recorded.
REGISTER ON THE SPOT FOR THE END OF YEAR CROSS Stekene
In less than a month it will be that time again: the Open End of Year Cross in Stekene-Nieuwdorp, the traditional closing of the Belgian cross season. Unlike previous years, this time there will be no online registrations, but everyone must register on site the morning of the competition (between 7.30 am and 9 am at the latest). Everyone who presents themselves will be given the opportunity to start in their category. Any overcrowded classes will be split up, as was the case last year with the Leisure Riders. This year, that category is of course also on the agenda, in addition to the Aspirants & Promised & Novices MX2, Novices MX1 & Women's Open, Quads Open, Juniors MX2 + MX1, Nationals MX2 + MX1, Inters MX2 + MX1 and Sidecars Open. So make an appointment on Sunday, December 10 in Stekene, East Flanders!
M.C.L.B. CHAMPIONSHIP TRIALS FIXED
Less than a month after M.C.L.B. announced its calendar for 2018, the West Flemish cross federation also releases its tests for the national championship. Once again, eleven tests and a final are planned for each category, whereby ALL series will now be taken into account (in other words, two elimination results will no longer be used). What is also new is that the categories are divided into two groups and that at all competitions from the beginning of April until the start of the finals in September (with the exception of the inter-association competition in Wachtebeke), a B.K. test is held for all categories from that particular group.
Group 1 consists of the categories Novices Open, Novices MX2, Promised MX2, Juniors + Nationals MX2 and Juniors + Nationals MX1 + Masters Open and will ride its B.K. tests on April 8 in Velzeke, on April 15 in Sinaai, on May 6 in Herzele , on May 20 in Kortemark, on June 3 in Aspelare, on June 24 in Oostkamp, on July 1 in Wachtebeke, on July 15 in Burst, on July 29 in Tesenderlo, on August 12 in Oostrozebeke and on September 2 in Zegelsem.
Group 2 consists of the categories Novices B Open + Women's Open, Novices MX1 + Experts Open, Quads A+B, Inters MX2 + MX1 + B Open and Sidecars A+B and will run its B.K. tests on April 1 in Beernem, on 22 April in Laarne, on April 29 in Aalter, on May 13 in Oostrozebeke, on May 27 in Zwevezele, on June 10 in Geraardsbergen, on June 17 in Tielt, on July 8 in Heldergem, on July 21 in Middelkerke, on August 5 in Volkegem and on August 28 in Sint-Maria-Lierde.
On September 9, the finals will be held in Lichtervelde for the categories Novices B Open + Women's Open, Novices MX1 + Experts Open and Juniors + Nationals MX1 + Masters Open. On September 16, the finals will be held in Pamel for the categories Novices MX2, Underclassmen MX2, Quads A+B and Inters MX2 + MX1 + Open B. And finally, on September 23, the finals will be held in Wingene for the categories Novices Open, Juniors. + Nationals MX2 and Sidecars A+B. The East Flemish championship is scheduled for all categories in Velzeke on Sunday, April 9, and the West Flemish championship is scheduled for Sunday, August 12 in Oostrozebeke.
Everything can be read at your leisure on the website www.mclb-vjmo.be where the annual permits for 2018 can also be requested and downloaded (also by those who already had an annual permit in 2017).
