Serious injury for Ian De Sweemer
You may have already caught some of it through social media, last weekend Ian De Sweemer to fall hard during the MCLB competition in Beervelde. The young man from Wachtebeke walked here several fractures in the back with one unstable fracture that causes paralysis from the chest to the toes. This is because this fracture has severely damaged the spinal cord. The positive news, however, is that it is not completely over, which provides some perspective and hope!
Thursday next Ian will be a major surgery undergo, after which he was given a long and difficult rehabilitation guard. It is currently unknown what the outcome of the operation will be. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the best possible outcome for Ian! With in mind other positive stories from motocross riders such as Christophe Pourcel, Axel Alletru, Dave Versluis,…
The MxMag Editorial team wishes Ian, but also his girlfriend Eva, parents Patrick and Petra and all family and friends, the best of luck from the bottom of our hearts! May we also ask you to give Ian and the family some rest during this emotionally taxing time. Christopher Ronse happy to answer any questions you have about Ian.
