Article correction: Ken De Dycker wins Belgian Masters of Motocross!
The BMB Board of Directors took note of our article 'Ken De Dycker wins Belgian Masters of Motocross' and asked MXMag for a correction regarding the last paragraph of this article.
Hereby the conscious paragraph: “Two sad observations to end the day with. First and foremost, Inters' attendance was far below expectations, which raises questions given the hefty prize pool of €20.000. On the other hand, this scale was significantly reduced on the day itself due to the low turnout. For example, Ken De Dycker ultimately won not €7.000 but €5.000. We can somewhat understand the organizer, but of course the rider also has a point. After all, without a guarantee of starting money, the prize money was the only thing the riders could count on in this Belgian Masters of Motocross. Something to think about."
And the BMB's response: “Following the low attendance of the riders, a meeting was organized after the Super Final of the Motocross Belgian Masters in Baisieux on October 8. The riders in question and the organizing club agreed after mutual consultation to do the originally planned reduce prize money. This decision was therefore made with the agreement of all riders who were entitled to prize money in the Super Final and therefore certainly not unilaterally by the organizer as suggested in the article. It is to the credit of the drivers that they understood this difficult situation.”
