Clement Desalle: “just accept this situation.”
The 2017 season is already over for Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Clement Desalle. Last weekend during the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, our compatriot had a bad fall and broke his C6 vertebra, fortunately without the vertebra moving. For Desalle there is nothing left to do but rest and just let everything recover peacefully.
Clement Desalle : “ I am disappointed because I cannot finish the championship and fight for a top three place in the final standings, but on the other hand I am also happy when my doctor confirmed to me that there will be no further problems with my vortices in the future. We already had a good season with the team and already won two Grand Prix victories, but the goal was of course the world championship. The atmosphere in the team is good and we reached a high level as one of the leading Japanese brands in the MX world championship. Speaking of my injury, I feel that I was quite lucky because it was a really big crash. The sand was wet and heavy from the rain and just before one of the big jumps I hit the softer part of the track and lost my balance. I immediately rolled over and landed hard. I immediately had feeling in all my limbs and could move them, but I especially had a lot of pain in my back. I now have to rest for a few weeks and that is certainly not easy for me. I am otherwise very active, but there is nothing else I can do except just accept this situation.”
