BREAKING: Broc Tickle to Red Bull-KTM!
One of the worst kept secrets from the AMA rumor mill is now official! Broc Tickle moves to Red Bull KTM for the 2018 season. KTM officially announced this today. Tickle spent the last five years riding for RCH Suzuki, which retired this season.
After his 2011 250SX West championship, Tickle moved to 450s Monster Energy / Pro Circuit Kawasaki, before heading to RCH where he spent almost his entire 450 career. Tickle, 28, made the podium at this year's Toronto Supercross and High Point National. He did miss the second half of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross due to a shoulder injury.
“I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to work with Roger [DeCoster], Ian [Harrison] and the entire Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team,” Tickle said. “Both the European and American teams have achieved great success in recent years with the new KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. I'm now looking forward to riding the KTM myself. In addition, I am very excited that I will also be training with Aldon Baker at the Baker's Factory together with Marvin Musquin. It is the first time in my professional career that I have entered such a comprehensive coaching program, where riding coaching, fitness training and riding with one of the fastest riders in the sport become part of my daily routine. I really want to take advantage of everything that is offered to me and show what I believe I have to offer.”
Team manager Roger DeCoster adds: “We have always seen great potential in Broc and we look forward to giving him all the tools we have to be as successful as possible. In addition, we feel that Broc's attitude and personality, both on and off the court, will fit well with Marvin so that they can also work together productively.”
