David Segers dominates in Hundelgem!
No Jurgen Wybo nor Wietse Brackman in Hundelgem and so the question was, who will put anything in David Segers' way to victory? The answer was short and sweet, so no one!
The Standing Construct KTM pilot managed to dominate both heats from lead to finish, and with two series victories he managed to take the day's victory in Hundelgem. Behind him there was the battle for the remaining places on the day's podium.
In the first moto we saw Kenny Dult come out of the starting gate in second place. However, he saw Jorne Tytgat and Torpjurn Van Hoe pass halfway through the race, causing him to fall back to fourth place. This behind Jorne Tytgat who finished second and Torpjurn Van Hoe in third. Behind Kenny Dult, Maarten Govaert completed the top five.
In the second heat we saw Torpjurn Van Hoe come out of the starting gate second ahead of Kenny Dult. However, Van Hoe dropped out halfway through the race, allowing Kenny Dult to move up to second place. A place he never gave up. Behind Dult we saw a duel for third place between Junior Decouter and Maarten Govaert, a duel that Maarten Govaert would ultimately win, meaning he would cross the finish line in third place ahead of Junior Decouter. Jorne Tytgat finished fifth after an epic comeback from the backfield.
For the day's podium, this meant that David Segers was accompanied by Kenny Dult (4-2) and Jorne Tytgat (2-5).
