Everything you need to know about MX Festival Wachtebeke!
With a program on Saturday (VJMO and FPCNA) and Sunday (MCLB and BMB), next weekend's race in Wachtebeke (East Flanders) can safely be considered a real MX Festival. An inter-bond competition is taking place on the Provincial Domain Puyenbroeck for VJMO, FPCNA, MCLB and BMB permit holders. This unique formula, which was created under the impetus of AMC Evergem chairman Walter Haentjes, seems to us to be an excellent initiative to give amateur motocross extra oxygen.
Allelujah! Finally cooperation in the Flemish MX country. That alone is a historical fact and this organization has several other unprecedented assets. MCLB club MC Strong Together joins forces with AMC Evergem for an exceptional event. In addition to MCLB and BMB permit holders, there is also driving opportunity for regional drivers who can ride with a day permit. The beautiful circuit, at the fantastic location of the Puyenbroeck Provincial Domain, also promises the very best. You can see the first photos of the circuit here see. And for those who don't believe his or her eyes: it is indeed bone dry. Matter of the eternal Titanic rumors (“Everything is under water”) into the right context!
Zero euro registration fee!
As a promotion for motocross, the MX Festival of Wachtebeke certainly plays its part. Riders do not pay a registration fee. There is a democratic entrance fee of 12 euros for both drivers and spectators. The fact that there is some reluctance here and there at the Inters about this new initiative - since it does not count for the Championship - does not mean that there will not be fast men at the start! On the contrary, with spectacle makers such as Jurgen Wybo, KMP-Honda rider Kevin Fors and among other things Yentel martens May the public prepare for a great battle
In Puyenbroeck, quads and sidecar riders also get their money's worth. Although there will be a GP sidecar in Estonia next weekend, this class also promises an interesting field of participants. Because for many teams the expensive GP to the Baltic state is not an option, which means that a lot of World Championship sidecar teams can perfectly prepare the next GP in Switzerland in their own country. A separate price scale applies to both sidecars and quads. On Saturday, August 19, the program consists of the youth competitions of the VJMO and the FPCNA federations. You can find that timetable here.
In any case, we are very much looking forward to the MX Festival of Wachtebeke. And we hope to meet everyone who is talking about cooperation between the unions at the Provincial Puyenbroeck! Or are you just curious who will win the most prizes? The BMB riders or the MCLB riders? Anyway, see you in Wachtebeke!
