Preview VLM Retie
Next weekend VLM will settle in Retie. The motocross on the Duinberg, organized by MX Hanenberg, can safely be labeled as a real classic on the VLM calendar! The 8th round of the Inters open Championship is also on the program in Retie. On Saturday there is the usual JMS program and riding opportunity for the EOT* men!
The very regular ones Kenny Janssens moves to Retie as leader. Kenny has already been on the podium three times in the championship and won in Tildonk, Haacht. The Keerbergen resident knows better than anyone that it is a matter of being good throughout the season. And of course Janssens already became VLM champion by a wide margin in 2015. Steve Seronval follows at 33 points. If he was healthy and fit, Seronval would certainly be there. However, the multiple MCLB champion has never ridden at his best level this season. It remains to be seen how Rocket has recovered from his glandular fever.
Unfortunately, the lightning fast one is not present Dietger Damiaens. When Dietger appeared at the start, he rarely finished outside the top three! The DAM Racing pilot also convincingly won the last race in Tessenderlo. This weekend, however, Damiaens will compete in the final of the Dutch Masterers of Motocros at the Zwarte Cross! Of Jens Van Meer en Wouter Van Massenhoven (intro photo) the top 5 still includes two ambitious riders who certainly want to make up ground. Not to mention outsiders such as Kristof Salaets, Steven De Beuckelaer of Greg Smets. Of course, we can also expect exciting competitions and motivated pilots in the other series.
The standings in the Inters MX1 and Inters MX2 can be seen below.
Moreover, Retie is also nice to see again Jurgen Van Nooten, one of the best amateur pilots in our country for many years. Retie is best reached via exit 25 of the E34 Antwerp-Eindhoven.
