VMCF: Refuses strongest at Zwaanhof!
The VMCF riders had their annual appointment with the Zwaanhof in Komen yesterday. This time the classic took place in the middle of the holidays, which meant that clearly fewer riders showed up for this spectacular circuit.
At the inters, Frederic Weigert managed to keep the hungry Dennis Wagemans in check after an exciting round in which Junior Slegers was also able to combine the spectacle with a tight pace this time. In fourth place, the MX2 rider managed to surprise Jeremy Joris in front of Stef Bastiaens.
In the final series Junior Slegers was able to leave his mark on the heat. Frederic Weigert was able to follow, but that was all he could do because the pace of two-stroke Slegers was too high for that. Dennis Wagemans was unable to repeat his double from last weekend, but the Yamaha rider still finished third ahead of Stef Bastiaens and Jeremy Joris, who this time managed to keep Karel Schepmans in check.
Frederic Weigert was rewarded for his regularity and walked away with the largest cup ahead of Junior Slegers and Dennis Wagemans. The MX2 victory went to Jeremy Joris while Greg Vullers became the best in the B class.
