Marvin Musquin dominates Millville AMA National
Marvin Musquin won the eighth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Millville. The Red Bull KTM rider took victory in both series, which was his second overall victory of the season. For the Frenchman, who is struggling with a knee injury, this victory is certainly a boost towards the other four games in the championship. Dean Wilson has definitely regained the taste of being on the podium because after the previous race in Southwick where he finished third, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was now number two on the podium. The leader in the standings Eli Tomac (2-5) who finished number three and closest pursuer Blake Baggett (6-2) had a mixed race at the Spring Creek circuit.
In the standings, Eli Tomac continues to hold the leading position with about 20 points ahead of Blake Baggett and is even one point ahead. With this victory, third man in the standings Marvin Musquin makes up 12 points on the leader, but the gap still remains around 60 points with four games to go.
In the 250 Class, victory for the second time this season went to Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Joey Savargy (1-2). Second place went to Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull KTM rider Alex Martin (2-4), who was able to reduce his deficit to leader Osborne by two points. For Zach Osborne himself, the first series almost ended dramatically when he had problems with a broken radiator, but Osborne was still able to finish in eighth place with a heated engine. In the second series he was again a veteran and took the victory and third place in the daily rankings. Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis was twice in the top ten with a seventh and eighth place.
