Junior World Championship: Liam Everts qualified, strong Dutch performance
As an 85cc rookie, Liam Everts managed to qualify today for the final battle tomorrow in the Junior World Championship! Liam finished 12th in his qualifying group. In the same group Kay De Wolf rode to the third fastest time, Kay Karssemakers finished third in the other group. In the 65cc, Ivano Van Erp did even better with a second time. Rick Elzinga also managed to qualify strongly in the 125cc with a fifth fastest time.
Due to logistical problems, the Coenen brothers ultimately did not appear at the start in Estonia. Roman Leonard was unable to qualify as a result Liam Evert will be the only one to represent Belgium.
From the Dutch side, Raivo Dankers, Damien Knuiman, Mirco ten Kate, Giovanni Pruijmboom, Bradley Mesters and Scott Smulders were also able to qualify for the competition. The third Dutch 125cc driver Raf Meuwissen had an unlucky day. He had to go to the last chance where he crashed and ultimately just missed the qualifying mark. This means that the driver from the HMX No Fear Husqvarna team is the first reserve on the list.
