Jasikonis and Covington the fastest in Portuguese Qualifying
Arminas Jasikonis (MXGP) and Thomas Covington (MX2) have won the Qualifying Races for the Portuguese Grand Prix. Suzuki World MXGP rider Arminas Jasikonis took victory in the MXGP class ahead of Max Nagl, Romain Febvre, Antonio Cairoli and Tim Gajser. It was the Lithuanian Suzuki rider's very first victory in an MXGP Qualifying Race. On the Belgian side we received a seventh and eighth place from the returning Jeremy Van Horebeek and Kevin Strijbos. Clement Desalle only crossed the finish line in fourteenth and Damon Graulus (22) and Jeffrey Dewulf (23) are further back in the results. Ken De Dijcker rode around in eighth place for a very long time but then disappeared from the race.

In the MX2 class, just like last week in Italy, it was Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory rider Thomas Covington who won the Qualifying ahead of Pauls Jonass, Brian Boogers, Thomas Kjer Olsen and Jeremy Seewer. Our compatriot Julien Lieber crossed the finish line in sixth place and Kemea Yamaha rider Brent Van Doninck finished 16th. Finally, we got Nathan Renkens in 22nd place, just ahead of Benoit Paturel.
