EMX65: Damien Knuiman takes silver, Sacha Coenen 10th
Unfortunately no Dutch European champion in the 65cc. The Dane Mads Sorensen, third yesterday, was the best today and took the European title. Damien Knuiman (Husqvarna MX Rookie Team) has become European Vice Champion! Ivano van Erp, who won yesterday, rode a very good catch-up race today, taking bronze.
The Coenen brothers of the CJT Team both showed their speed but they only scored in one heat. It was yesterday Lucas Coenen sixth, rode today Sacha Coenen to a nice 5th place. A nice revenge for Sacha who started the race second on Saturday but had to give up after being hit. In the final standings Sacha Coenen is 10th, Lucas Coenen came 13th.
Ivano Van Erp was pushed aside at the start of the second heat and therefore had to leave last. Still, Ivano managed to return to 10th place! Damien Knuiman put a lot of pressure on Van Erp on Saturday and finished second. In the second heat Knuiman was in good shape again. Until the last lap he continued to chase local rider Julius Mikula but in the end he had to settle for third place.
