Eli Tomac is the lord and master of RedBud
After So Tomac Although he won last week in Muddy Creek, he did it again a week later in the sixth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in RedBud. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider was the best in both series and immediately becomes the new leader in the championship standings. Blake Baggett, who arrived as leader in RedBud, took second place behind Tomac in the first moto, but in the second moto Anderson briefly followed Baggett, who had started in second place, and there was slight contact between the riders, so that Baggett lost his balance and fell. As a result, Baggett did not get further than tenth place, which cost him the leading position in the standings.
Second place in this 450 Class went to Jason Anderson who managed a fourth and second place in the heats. Frenchman Marvin Musquin was able to recover after two bad races and was twice placed number three, which gave him the third podium place. In the standings, Tomac becomes the new leader and now has a thirteen point lead over second man Blake Baggett.
In the 250 Class, victory went to standings leader Zach Osborne. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider only had to let Jeremy Martin go ahead in the first series, but then took victory in the second series. For Jeremy Martin, who won the opening series, the second series started dramatically after he took the holeshot but fell in the first corner. Martin had to work his way up from last place to eighth place, losing some points to leader Osborne. Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis took fifth and fourth place in the series in RedBud, which gave him fifth place in the daily rankings. In the standings, Husky rider Zach Osborne continues to expand his lead and already has a 38 point lead over Alex Martin and 45 points over Jeremy Martin.
