Blake Baggett wins AMA National in Thunder Valley
Blake Baggett of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS Team won the third event of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Thunder Valley-Lakewood. For the 25-year-old Baggett, this was his very first 450MX victory of his career. With a third place and a series victory, Baggett took the overall victory ahead of Marvin Musquin (4-3) and Jason Anderson (2-6). Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Eli Tomac, who took seventh and second place in the series, also has to give up some points this weekend to the leader in the standings, the Frenchman Marvin Musquin.
In the 250MX class, the overall victory went to Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Joey Savatgy, who preceded brothers Alex and Jeremy Martin with a fourth place and a series win. It was a weekend of survival for leader Zach Osborne. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was already sick at the start and did not get further than eighth and fifth place in the series. Yet Osborne continues to hold the leading position and is still nine points ahead of Jeremy Martin. Finally, we were able to record a ninth and sixth place for Dylan Ferrandis and the Frenchman is just inside the top ten in the standings after three games.
