VMCF: Double for Steven Debeuckelaer
At VMCF it also became more than busy on the Breugelheide in Lille. Steven Debeuckelaer became yet another different winner at the Inters. The KTM rider was very strong in both series, so the other top riders had to fight for the crumbs.
In the first moto Debeuckelaer (intro photo) received some resistance from a sublime steering Bram Valckx and Frederic Weigert, but in the end it was Eric Foguenne who sent his Yamaha to third place after a poor start. Debeuckelaer made an impression with his series victory ahead of Bram Valckx and Eric Foguenne. Frederic Weigert surprised in the sand with a fourth place ahead of Kenzo Buys who was able to hold off the best MX2 rider Killigan Deroeux.
Also in the final series there was no weeds against Debeuckelaer who rode away to victory. Eric Foguenne now became the best follower for Frederic Weigert, who seems to be becoming an increasingly better sand rider. Bram Valckx and an excellent Gunther Truyens now completed the top five.
Next week will be a busy weekend for the VMCF members because on Thursday they will go to the RES circuit of Axel and then travel to the GP track of Lommel to put on their boots again on Sunday. What do you mean, no sand circuits at VMCF?
