Maxxis British: Mike Kras keeps winning! Victories Irwin & Watson
Buildbase-Honda rider Graeme Irwin was unstoppable at Hawkstone Park. The Irishman rode to a double victory in the 4th round of the Maxxis British Championship. With this he also takes the lead in the championship standings. Steven Lenoir, the previous leader, finished second twice. Harri Kullas was able to join the podium thanks to a third and fourth place.
In the two-stroke class, EMX300 champion Mike Kras (intro photo) continued his winning streak. The 'Kogel' not only won both races, he is still undefeated in the Maxxis this season!
Now that Jake Nicholls has been injured for a longer period of time, the battle for the championship seems to be completely open again. Former British MX2 champion Elliott Banks Browne did a bad job in that standings yesterday. Although he took the lead in the first heat and finished 4th, his tire blew off in the second race and EBB scored no points. In the MX2, the Hitachi-KTM UK riders set the tone again. Ben Watson (1-1) won in the final score ahead of his teammate Josiah Natzke (5-1). Revelation of the day was EMX250 rider Todd Kellett who scored a third and fourth place finish. However, the experienced Martin Barr took the last podium spot.
