Lars van Berkel fills in at HSF Logistics Motorsport!
Due to the injuries of Davy Pootjes (since Argentina) and Calvin Vlaanderen (last Thursday), HSF Logistics Motorsport wanted a replacement for the upcoming GPs. Since Lars Van Berkel had just ended the collaboration with Vamo Honda, a good solution presented itself!
Initially, Van Berkel's substitution will last five to six GPs. An evaluation is then drawn up. Van Berkel managed to finish fifth in the Dutch Masters of Motocross MX2 last year and managed to finish a strong fourth in the first round of the Grand Prix MX2 in Assen. The arrival of the cross rider from Veghel to the HSF Logistics Motorsport team offers him the opportunity to convert a difficult start to the season in the GPs into good results.
This week will be used to adjust the KTM to Lars' wishes. Next weekend he will start for HSF Logistics in the German Grand Prix alongside Brian Bogers.
Team manager Joep Teunesen: "Unfortunately, we are currently dealing with two injured riders, which is why we have decided to Lars van Berkel to offer the opportunity to drive for our team for the time being. Lars is fit and can play for us straight away. I have no doubt that he will quickly get used to our KTM machines and that he will perform to his capabilities. The entire team wishes Calvin and Davy well and we hope they will be back soon."
