Honda suggests upgrades for 2018 CRF450R
For the first time, the Honda CRF450R will be supplied with an electric starter as standard from next model year. In addition, the front and rear suspension were also overhauled for better handling. The CRF450RX, the enduro version of the CRF450R, also received several improvements.
An important feature of Honda's electric starter is the lightweight lithium-ion battery that serves as the power source. The light battery and the removal of the kick starter resulted in significant weight savings. Thanks to the 'ready-for-competition' 49mm conventional fork, the revolutionary frame introduced this year and the improved engine - 11% more power at the top and more torque across the entire range - the 2018 CRF450R becomes a very fearsome weapon!
The enduro brother of the CRF450R, the CRF450RX model, has a specific enduro suspension, but the electronic injection, mapping, 8,5 liter fuel tank, 18-inch rear wheel, electric starter and side stand also distinguish it from the MX model. The lithium ion battery ensures a weight saving of 600 grams on the motorcycle. Both the new CRF450R and CRF450RX will hit dealers this summer.
