SPOTTED: Jurgen Wybo on a 250, ready for Ernée!
This weekend the MXGP will be held in Latvia, but Jurgen Wybo is already looking forward to the MXGP in Ernée where he will start with the EMX250. The busy series will get the 'daddy cool' of the MCLB in Ernée. He will compete for the GJV Racing team with a Husqvarna for which Jorne Tytgat and Wietse Brackman also competed in Valkenswaard.
Today Jurgen tested the 250 for the first time in a long time and it was as if he had never ridden anything else before.
"I immediately felt good on the 250, but we still have to tinker with the right gearing. It's nice to experience it again after all this time. If you get the chance to ride such a beautiful course, you should embrace it with both arms and enjoy it!"
Jurgen is humble about his expectations, it is difficult to predict how fast he is compared to the opposition who are all a lot younger.
"I'll first try to position myself, which is already going to be extremely difficult, but we'll see about the rest."
We asked Jurgen why GJV Racing chose him and he had the following to say.
"GJ sponsored me in the past and here he wanted to dust me off again. If it wasn't from him, I wouldn't really think about it, it all actually started with a funny Facebook message and that's how the ball started rolling."
Finally, Jurgen would like to thank Gertjan Vorstenbosch, Leon Sagaert and Husqvarna Belgium for the opportunity they gave him.
