Press release: Shoulder surgery necessary for Davy Pootjes
Davy Pootjes of the HSF Logistics Motorsport team will have to undergo surgery on his shoulder to be able to appear behind the starting gate again without any problems. This operation will be carried out in a week, after which Pootjes will be out of action for several weeks.
For me this is a heavy blow mentally because I am out again. I know I can do it and that I have the speed to achieve good results. Hopefully the recovery goes well and I'll be fit again soon. I will only get back on the bike when my shoulder is 100% fit, says a disappointed Davy Pootjes.
Davy's recovery will take at least two months and he will therefore have to miss many important matches. Despite this bad news, Davy is happy that he has such a good team behind him who will pull him through this difficult period. “I would like to thank the HSF Logistics Motorsport team for everything they do for me. The collaboration is going great and I am very happy with that. I'm looking forward to achieving great results with the team, but first I have to recover!”
