Marvin Musquin wins, Tomac and Dungey together in the lead…
Marvin Musquin was able to break Eli Tomac's winning streak in Seattle. The Red Bull KTM rider dominated the 450SX Main Event at Century Link Field to take his second win of the season. Eli Tomac, who won the previous five races, took second place in Seattle ahead of Jason Anderson.
But more importantly, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider takes the lead alongside Ryan Dungey in the 450SX Championship standings. For Ryan Dungey, the Main Event started dramatically after he crashed at the start along with Justin Bogle and Justin Barcia. The Red Bull KTM rider had to return to the track from the very last position and would eventually take fourth place from Davi Millsaps on the last lap. So it was really a matter of limiting the damage for Dungey who now sees Eli Tomac coming next to him with the same number of points with only three games to go. So it will be very exciting between these two riders in this 450SX class with probably the Frenchman Marvin Musquin as referee.
In the 250SX it was again the turn of the riders in the West Coast class. Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha rider Aaron Plessinger took the win ahead of Justin Hill and Mitchell Oldenburg. In the standings, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Justin Hill remains in the lead and is 18 points ahead of second-place Aaron Plessinger with two races remaining in the 250SX West Coast class.
