Kawasaki extends contract with Eli Tomac!
Kawasaki USA has signed a multi-year contract extension with Eli Tomac. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider is currently stringing together victories and is locked in a battle for the Monster Energy AMA Supercross title.
“I am very grateful to stay with Monster Energy Kawasaki,” said Tomac. “The team has put a lot of trust in me over the past year. That in turn has given me the confidence I need to win. We have worked hard together, it is good to see that it is now yielding results.”
In his first year on the KX450F, the Colorado rider finished fourth in the Supercross final standings. He then finished second in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship with two overall victories and 10 podium finishes. Tomac also won two MXGPs and the Monster Energy Cup. So far in the 2017 SX season he has won eight matches, including a streak of five straight wins.
“Eli Tomac is an exceptional rider and athlete. He has successfully continued the tradition of dominance on the KX450F,” said Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. President Yoshi Tamura. “Eli perfectly expresses Kawasaki's dedication to winning. We are very excited to have him join the Monster Energy Kawasaki team for years to come!”
