Jorge Garcia Prado wins the MX2 in Trentino
Jorge Garcia Prado took the win in the MX2 Grand Prix of Trentino with a second and first place. It was also the young Spaniard's very first GP victory of his career. The Red Bull KTM rider preceded his teammate Pauls Jonass and our compatriot Julien Lieber in the final standings.
Lieber on stage for the fourth time…
As usual, Julien Lieber took a great start and was immediately in third place behind the Red Bull KTM boys in the first series, but he still made a slip on the second lap but fortunately stayed ahead of fourth man Olsen. Towards the end of the series, Lieber even started to attack Prado's second place, but the Spaniard held on and Lieber was flagged as number three. In the second series, Lieber was there again at the start until he crashed in a duel with Covington and dropped to fifth place. Still, Lieber could be really satisfied because he finished on the podium for the fourth time in five Grand Prix.
Less good starts cost Van Doninck some points…
Van Doninck's start was dramatic in the first heat and he was only in 24th place after the first passage, but the Kemea Yamaha pilot tried to get into the points as quickly as possible and eventually ended up in 12th place. In the second series, Van Doninck started thirteenth and was eventually able to finish in the top ten in ninth place.
