Column: Cyril Enjoyment!
As you probably know by now, I will be racing the entire ADAC MX Masters championship with the support of Falcon Motorsport and Seven Management. And let the ADAC MX Masters start this weekend! So this is a good time to introduce you to my first column of the season.
In any case, the preparatory matches went well. I rode a few races in the ONK, one race in Germany and one in Belgium. Together with my dad and Dam Racing, we also completely fine-tuned the engine in terms of suspension, exhaust and so on. And I am very satisfied with the result! The engine is completely stock, we just worked on finding the right settings. I am also very satisfied that I was able to show that I can start well. In the past that was often one of my weaknesses.
Together with the Falcon Motorsport team I was able to experience what it feels like to be a model. Do not laugh! The team had organized a professional photo shoot. I went there with my friend Danny, who is a photographer himself, and it turned out to be two really great days. In the meantime I have also received my new equipment, I really like the Troy Lee Designs clothing! And even my boots (thank you Joël Oben) happen to match my clothes perfectly. As you know, it comes down to details to take beautiful photos, but the results are very successful. Judge for yourself, because there are also some images from this photo shoot in this column.
I'm really looking forward to going to Germany this weekend. We are going to the first round of the ADAC MX Masters with the whole family. It is always exciting when everything is new: the trip itself, the stay on site, the new environment. I don't know the Fürstlich Drehna circuit itself, but I know that the ground is sandy. I'm going to give it my all anyway. I am very satisfied with my KTM 350SX-F. Although it is not always easy to compete with the 450s, my bike suits me perfectly. The 350 is also a motorcycle that offers a lot of riding pleasure.
I am currently on holiday. Because I did not go on the senior year trip, I have just under three weeks of vacation. Only then do you realize how much easier everything is when I don't have to go to school! More time to rest and especially more time to ride and train physically. Over the past few months I have already logged quite a few kilometers on my bike. Fortunately, Merida gave me a great bike and when the sun shines, it is all the more fun to ride through the Limburg landscape with my dad. I also complete my core stability exercises with my physiotherapist Carlo. We are always there with the same group of people and it is funny that they have all become my supporters!
I now have one more month of classes ahead of me followed by exams in June. I also have to complete a science thesis, and once that's all over I can finally focus on my sport full-time. I'm really looking forward to going all out for the cross! Of course I will keep you all informed. Big thanks to all my sponsors, my supporters and everyone who is there for me.
See you soon on mxmag!
Cyril
