Preview: BK motocross Lommel!
After an extremely successful BC opener in Moerbeke-Waas, it is now time for the first Limburg test of the new BC. The new series format was well liked by many and the audience in Moerbeke was rewarded with beautiful series. Strong series are also predicted in Lommel, where the organization is traditionally in the hands of MC Mikkola in collaboration with AMC Evergem.
It will be the first doubles program of the season where the ladies and the FPCNA riders will ride their opening of the Walloon championship on Saturday. There are also categories in the FPCNA program for the BMB riders, but the main part comes on Sunday where both the solos and the sidecars will ride their second BK test.
A blood-curdling race was held in Moerbeke, especially in the MX1 class, and the top favorites such as Ken De Dijcker, home rider Yentel martens, Cedric Grobben, Erik Willems and the Estonian Erki Kahro have taken the best places in the championship. However, they are joined in Lommel Jeffrey Dewulf who currently wins almost everything he enters. It is also just outside the top five Dietger Damiaens en Kristof Salaets who can always do something in Lommel.
In the MX2 class it was possible Iago Geerts almost the only Belgian who was able to compete at the front in the first Belgian Championship test. Geerts must therefore defend his leadership against a foreign force led by Jeere Haavisto, Hardi Roosoirg en Mark Boat. The second Belgian in the standings is currently at five, where the young Promise Mattis Meerschout surprised everyone in Moerbeke.
Of course, the other series also compete for BC points Thomas Delvoy as leader in the MX2 cup and Creymert rider Ken Craighs in the MX1 class. In the 85 cc class, a lot of attention is paid to the Suzuki team where the new wonder boy Jett Lawrence destroys everything and everyone. It is on Avo Thank you en Liam Evert to find an answer to the speed of the man from down under.
The sidecars are also present in Lommel. It will be a unique opportunity for them to also prepare the World Cup test in the Lommel sandbox. Vandaele/Vandenbogaert started the season strongly and it will be interesting to see whether they can compete against an armada of Dutch combinations who would come here to prepare their World Cup test. In addition, the field of participants is strengthened with the combination Dyder/Stupelis who will also be present. Of Sanders/Soenens, Santermans/Daiders en Dierckens/Rostingt There is also quite a bit of Belgian violence in the top five of the rankings.
BK Lommel practical
The rider park opens its doors on Friday at 18.00 p.m. and the FPCNA will give the starting signal on Saturday at 08.00 a.m. and will not end the BMB race until Sunday evening at 18.00 p.m. The presentation is in the hands of Frank Janssen.
