BK MX Moerbeke: Martens continues its winning streak!
After the ONK in Heerde and the Wintercross in Groesbeek, Yentel Martens now also won the BMB opening competition! Only in the second series did the Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna pilot Ken De Dycker. Keeno, who was fourth in the first moto, finished second in the final standings. Erik Willems (5-3) surprisingly took the last podium place.
No Jeffrey Dewulf, nor Cyril Genot in Moerbeke, but a super motivated Yentel Martens. This morning Martens took pole ahead of Erki 'Cargo' Kahro. Ken De Dycker qualified third.
The first Inters MX1 round was a true spectacle! Cédric Grobben made a rocket start, but the surprising Estonian Erki Kahro took command. Grobben chased Kahro while De Dycker recovered from a poor start. Polesitter Martens took a wait-and-see attitude, but once under steam De Dycker seemed to be going for the win. With Kahro, Grobben, De Dycker and Martens on a handkerchief, the audience was the winner anyway. Small mistakes by 'Keeno' cost him dearly and the overtaking options were also quite limited. Ultimately, however, Martens turned out to have the longest staying power. Yentel clearly turned out to be the fastest man in the race, Kahro was still hanging on but still had to give up. Grobben and De Dycker finished third and fourth.
Yet Ken De Dycker
Sensation from the start! The tight chicane followed by a right-angle right claimed several victims; Fortunately, both Kahro, Grobben and Silliën fell without much damage. Two-stroke man Willems took the holeshot but quickly had to make way for Martens. De Dycker only rounded the first corner in 15th place, but the Van Boom Suzuki rider cut through it like a knife through butter. After one lap, the former MXoN winner already entered the top 5. Kahro, who had almost driven his Honda to the series victory in the first moto, made a mistake. A podium candidate also disappeared from the competition.
However, there was not the slightest doubt about the winner of the second round. De Dycker rushed to Martens and quickly dealt with him. Martens in turn controlled for the second place. Although Dietger Damiaens finished in a nice fourth place, he was able to close the gap Erik Willems don't close. Grobben pulled out all the stops to secure a podium finish! Even a recovery from 30th to 6th could not help Cédric. He crossed the finish line on Wybo's wheel, so he had to give his thumbs up to Erik Willems with one point! Without a doubt a very good performance by Erik. We should look at the statistics to see who last placed a two-stroke on the podium in the BK MX1!
Confirmed after a very solid first heat Greg Smets in the revival. De Desselaar finished 7th, only in the final phase Grobben stole P6 from him.

Jago Geerts records first 250 victory!
In Heerde both Sahkar riders were on the podium in the MX2. We also won in Moerbeke today! Reigning 125cc world champion Jago Geerts took his first 250 victory in Moerbeke. Jago dominated from start to finish in the first heat. At the finish, the Balense talent had a lead of no less than 27 seconds over the young Finn Jere Haavisto (137 Motorsport KTM)!
The second series was also a success for Geerts. This time, however, he had to come back after a poor start. Despite the difficult condition of the track, Jago had already taken the lead on the fourth lap. Teammate Roosiorg already showed in Heerde that he has made a lot of progress last winter. In this series, Hardi was 'Best of the rest' and finished 5 seconds behind Jago, so the young Estonian finished third in the final standings. Haavisto, who, like Geerts and Roosiorg, is competing in the EMX250 this year, was able to take the podium in his first race on Belgian soil!
MC Mikkola strongman Mark Boot was not inferior to the International stage company in terms of speed. He finished third in the first heat. However, due to an early mistake in the second moto, he narrowly missed the podium.
