MON launches the Galvincup!
The Netherlands has a new competition with a large prize pool: the Galvin Cup. It consists of five races and is held parallel to the 24MX NK National Motocross. The MON deliberately chose to keep the design simple because there is only one class. All MON Inters certificate holders may participate in the Galvin Cup. The stakes are a prize pool of more than €12.000!
It will start in Boekel on March 5. The winner of the cup can cash a check for no less than €3000 at the end. There are bonuses up to and including 20th place in the final rankings. So even if you just miss the podium, you can count on a big boost.
"The Galvincup creates extra riding opportunities for all starting permit holders from the MON Interclasses and encourages riders to get the best out of themselves. Galvin and a number of sub-sponsors are giving motocross a new impetus with this grand gesture, which we are extremely happy with. Thanks to the support of Galvin and others, motocross has the wind at its back and we are one step closer to realizing our goal: making and keeping the sport accessible,” said Nico Troost, director of MON.
Heikki van den Berg, former motocross star and director of Galvin Electrolytic Galvanization: “I had been thinking about setting up something for the riders for some time, and thanks to MON this is now being realized.”
MX 2 and MX Open Inters can still register for participation by sending an email to info@mon.nl. More information about “MON's premier league” (including the competition program and premium overview) can be found at www.mon.nl/Galvincup.
In addition to Galvin, Van De Laar Racing, HGS Exhaust systems, Ecomaxx Fuels, Hannamax, Twin Air, Wiseco, TMV and Laurense Motors Kawasaki support this new competition.
