Update: Expanded Team Line-Up for 2017!
Who will drive where in 2017? It is a question that many people ask themselves and we already answered part of your question in our 'Extensive Team Line-Up' post from a few weeks ago. Now we're back with an update. In this update the two major French teams MotoBlouz and JPM Racing have been added, but you can also see which brand Mathias Plessers will compete on. In addition to all this, we have news about Martin Honda, 24MX Honda, BUD Kawasaki and their pilot Kim Savaste! In short, it is worth scrolling through the updates. Please let us know below if you prefer to see only the tables + updates. Or always the complete list.

---|---|---|---|---|---|
Claudius DeCarli | 2019 | Antonio Cairolli | 2018 | Glenn Coldenhoff | 2017 |
Red Bull KTM Factory (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
Jeffrey Herlings (MXGP) | 2020 | Jorge Prado García | 2020 | Pauls jonass | 2019 |
We start with KTM's 'Factory' Equipes. The MXGP team will again be run by Claudius DeCarli. This Italian team boss has a contract with the Austrian manufacturer until 2019 to take on this task. The Carli' poulain and also eight-time world champion Antonio Cairolli can still count on a contract until 2018. For Glenn Coldenhoff is entering the last year of the current contract, but if the results are in line with the last Grand Prix's from 2016, a contract extension is not unthinkable for the Dutchman.
As already announced Jeffrey herlings, who will compete in the MXGP class in 2017, does not operate under the 'De Carli' tent. The three-time world champion remains in the familiar environment of the 'MX2 Red Bull KTM Factory' team. He is joined by that Jorge Prado García en Pauls jonass both of which will compete in the MX2 World Championship!
HSF Logistics Motorsport (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Davy Pootjes | 2019 | Brian Bogers | Calvin Flanders |
The HSF Logistics team will feature one newcomer next season. Davy Pootjes, which still 2019 is attached to Factory KTM, is, as it were, loaned to this Dutch team. He will therefore become the teammate of Brian Bogers en Calvin Flanders. Max Angels en Robert Just, who was part of the team this season, have left the sport (for the time being?) due to serious injuries.
Hitachi KTM | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jake Nicholls (MXGP) | Ben Watson (WKMX2) | Josiah Natzke (WKMX2) | 2019 |
This season we saw a team in the paddock under the name: 'Hitachi Revo Husqvarna'. This team now seems to have split into two teams. One that will compete with Husqvarna with revo as main sponsor and this team that will compete with KTM with Hitachi as main sponsor. The pilots of the Hitachi KTM team are old faithful Jake Nicholls who will compete in the MXGP class. In addition to him, the team has two top talents with names Ben watson en Josiah Natzke. The latter is still under contract with 'Factory KTM' until mid-2019 and is 'loaned' by them to participate in the MX2 World Championship for this team.

EMX Pilots | |||
Kevin Horgmo (EMX125) | Dovydas Carcass (EMX250) | Ken Craegh (EMX300) |
The Belgian team: 'CreyMert Racing' must look for a worthy replacement for the Spaniard in 2017 Iker Larranaga-Olano. It's Dutch Freek van der Vlist who has been given the tough task of following in the footsteps of the Spaniard, who put the modest team on the map. In addition to Freek van der Vlist, the team also counts on his sister Shana van der Vlist in the Women's World Championship (WMX). The team will also be well represented in the various European Championships Kevin Horgmo, Dovydas Carcass en Ken Craegh.
Sahkar KTM Racing | ||
---|---|---|
Jago Geerts (EMX250) | Hardi Roosiorg (WKMX2) |
Last season our compatriot became Iago Geerts champion at the 'Dutch Masters of Motocross 125cc', but he also became European and Junior World Champion 125cc! In short, the man from Balen had an excellent year and, as so often happens, all teams come to take a look. The teams threw all their cards on the table, but the Geerts family remained loyal to the Sahkar KTM team with which they have been working together for several years. In 2017, Jago Geerts will complete the EMX250 championship, his teammate Hardi Roosiorg will be active in the MX2 World Championship.
Team Sarholz-KTM (ADAC MXMasters) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Dennis Ullrich | Angus Heidecke |
A team that we may not get to compete with every time in the Grand Prix world, but is still interesting, is the Sarholz KTM team. The name Sarholz has been a household name in Germany and far beyond for forever. In addition, the pilot is: Dennis Ullrich a fast starter who can always provide a surprise in his selected Grand Prix competitions! Now that he can certainly stay in his familiar stable.
GL12 Racing | ||
---|---|---|
Mike Kras (EMX300) | Lewis Gregory (EMX300) | Mack Bouwense (EMX125) |
The big news surrounding the GL12 Racing team is first and foremost that the team will compete on KTM in 2017. The team, which in the past was seen as a kind of Official British 2-stroke Yamaha team, will feature reigning EMX2017 champions in 300 Mike Kras en Lewis Gregory who finished 6th in the European 300cc Championship last season. In the EMX125 category will be Dutchman Mack Bouwense play for the team. He finished 85th in the 'Dutch Masters of Motocross 6cc' and won the 'Dutch 85cc Big Wheels Championship'.
Marchetti KTM Racing | ||
---|---|---|
Jose Butron (MXGP) | Ivo Monticelli (WKMX2) | Christopher Valente (EMX300) |
Alessandro Facca (EMX125) | Valerio Lata (EMX85) | Ethan Mackenzie (EMX85) |
The Marchetti KTM Racing team comes with a very broad line-up. In it we find Spaniard Jose Butron who will compete in the MXGP class. As teammates he gets Ivo Monticelli who will contest the MX2 World Championship and Christopher Valente. The latter will contest the European 300cc Championship after competing in the MX2 World Championship this year. In addition to these three key points, the team also invests in youth Alessandro Facca in the EMX125 class and Valerio Lata en Ethan Mackenzie both of which will compete in the European 85cc Championship.
Rockstar Energy Negaan Husqvarna Factory (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Thomas Covington | 2018 | Thomas Kjer Olsen | 2018 | Conrad Mewse | 2018 |
The 'Rockstar Energy Negaan Husqvarna Factory team', what a big sandwich, completely chooses the youth menu! Jacky Martens and his associates will work with in 2017 and 2018 Thomas Covington, Conrad Mewse en Thomas Kjer Olsen. The latter joins the team after winning the EMX250 title last season and leaving quite an impression.
Rockstar Energy ICE ONE Husqvarna Factory (MXGP) | |||||

Max nagl | 2017 | Max Anstie | 2019 | Gautier Paulin | 2018 |
Rockstar Energy ICE ONE Husqvarna Factory (Youth) | |||||
Mikkel Haarup (EMX125) |
After a weak season of Christopher Charlier, the Frenchman was allowed to have. This meant that a place became available on the Rockstar Energy ICE ONE Husqvarna team. In addition, the team went from two to three pilots, so two newcomers were suddenly welcome. Next Max nagl who simply extended his contract for one season until the end of 2017 Max Anstie en Gautier Paulin join the team. According to our reports, the Briton has a contract with Husqvarna until... 2019. Gautier Paulin, who hopes to regain his former high form after two weak seasons with the HRC Honda team, has time until 2018 to build on this resurrection at Husqvarna. The super talented Mikkel Haarup will compete for the team in the EMX125 class.
Update: Christopher Charlier will compete in the Enduro World Championship for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team. The Frenchman therefore remains in the Husqvarna family. Husqvarna, in turn, once again draws attention to their 'One world, one team' idea that they use.

Iker Larranaga-Olano | Ivan Petrov | Caleb Ward |
The 8Biano-Husqvarna-Massignani Racing team that showed up in the paddock this year with Davide De Bortoli, Giuseppe Tropepe en Rui Goncalves will be launching a five-person team next season. Once again Rui Goncalves will defend the team's colors and he will now be reinforced in the MXGP class by fellow 'veteran' Tanel Leok. In the MX2 class the team has chosen the Spanish revelation of 2016: Iker Larranage, Australian Vice-MX2 Champion Caleb Ward en Ivan Petrov.
REVO-Husqvarna UK (EMX250) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Mell Pocock | James carpenter |
As mentioned earlier, it seems that the team that went through life this year as Hitachi – REVO Husqvarna has fallen into two. This is part of that. This team, which will compete on 250cc 4-stroke Husqvarnas, will mainly focus on... James carpenter en Mell Pocock focus on the British circuit consisting of the 'Maxxis British Motocross Championship' and the 'MX Nationals'. In addition, both pilots want to participate in the EMX250 championship where possible.
Husqvarna Maurer Racing | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Brian Hsu (WKMX2) | 2017 | Jernej Irt (MXGP) |
A few months ago Brian Hsu We all know that he wanted to leave Stefan Everts' Suzuki team to pursue his American dream. The gentlemen from Suzuki would help him with this, but the Suzuki US250 (now under Joe Gibbs Racing) was still in development and contracts could not be signed. The German with Taiwanese and Hungarian roots chose his money's worth and signed with the unknown Husqvarna Maurer. A team that gives him carte-blanche and supports him 110% as the only leader in the MX2 class. We heard that the team Jernej Irt would hire as an MXGP pilot. Both pilots would concentrate on competing in all European Grand Prix competitions.
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory team (MXGP) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Romain Febvre | 2019 | Jeremy Van Horebeek | 2017 |
Yamaha's MXGP Factory team remains unchanged for the third year in a row. Jeremy Van Horebeek will enter the final year of his current contract next season. Romain Febvre in turn, recently managed to renew his contract. The Frenchman will now continue to race a Yamaha motorcycle until at least 2019.
KEMEA Yamaha Yamalube (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Benoit Paturel | 2017 | Brent Van Doninck | unb. | Alvin Ostlund | unb. |
While this year there were two official Yamaha Factory teams in the MX2 class, next season that honor will be reserved exclusively for the KEMEA Yamaha team. This team will try to win the world title with Benoit Paturel, Brent Van Doninck en Alvin Ostlund. The latter comes from the Standing Construct – Wilvo Yamaha team, which continues as an MXGP team due to the split-up of both sponsors and managers: Wilvo Yamaha
WILVO-Yamaha MXGP Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Shaun Simpson | 2018 | Arnaud Tonus | 2018 |
The WILVO Yamaha MXGP team stands partly on the foundations of the 'Standing Construct - WILVO Yamaha' team on the one hand and partly on the 'STR Wilvo Virus KTM' team on the other. Louis Voster, owner of WILVO, was a valued sponsor in both teams. It is therefore no surprise that Shaun Simpson, still active for the STR Wilvo Virus KTM team in 2016, will compete for the brand new WILVO Yamaha MXGP team in 2017. In addition, the team achieves Arnaud Tonus back to Europe. The enormously talented Swiss took his chance in America a few years ago. However, this career turn was thwarted by a persistent virus and several injuries. Both pilots have a contract until 2018, which gives them a little more peace of mind.
DP19-SDM Racing Team (EMX250) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Roan van de Moosdijk | Max Renaux | Karlis Sabulis |
Ordered before David Phillipaerts was last season, yet another season without shine. It was also his last season. The Italian, who can call himself MX1 World Champion of 2008, is now continuing on the path he was already on. He will guide young pilots with his team. Last season he took, among other things: Morgan Lesiardo en Roan van de Moosdijk under his wings. The Dutchman has managed to charm the former world champion, because Roan van de Moosdijk will also be part of the 'DP2017-SDM Racing team' in 19. He gets into the EMX250 class Max Renaux as a teammate, this is transferred from the KEMEA Yamaha team and Karlis Sabulis. The DP19-SDM Racing team can therefore be seen as the official EMX250 Yamaha team.
MJC Yamaha Official (EMX125) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Rick Elzinga | Thibault Benistant | Tim Edberg |
Yamaha's official training team will continue to consist of three pilots next season. However, the team sees Zach Pichon leave for Stefan Everts' Suzuki team. For Christian Simonsson who makes the switch to the 250cc 4-stroke machine, there is no longer room. He will continue to have the support of Yamaha in the form of Yamaha Scandinavia. The French MJC team retains full confidence in the very young super talent Rick Elzinga. He is now entering his second season with the training team and will be named Fransman Thibault Benistant as a colleague. The 15-year-old Swede Tim Edberg As winner of the YZ125 Cup, he is rewarded with the third seat on the team.
I-Fly JK Racing Yamaha | ||
---|---|---|
Ryan Houghton (MXGP) | James Dunn (WKMX2) | Ken Bengtson (EMX250) |
Manuel Lacopi (EMX300) | Maddy Brown (WMX) |
The modest I-Fly JK Racing Yamaha team will field 5 pilots next season, in as many different classes. In the MXGP Class, a place that is a bit sad Jeffrey Dewulf seemed to go, will Ryan Houghton play for the team. We know this Brit from several appearances in the Belgian championship. His compatriot James dunn will be active in the WKMX2. Maddy Brown, Ken Bengtson en Manuel Lacopi we will see active in the Women's World Cup, European 250cc Championship and European 300cc Championship respectively.
Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team (MXGP) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Clément Desalle | 2017 | Jordi Tixier | 2017 |
Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing team remains unchanged for the upcoming season. For both Clément Desalle as a Jordie Tixier however, it is 'crunch time'. Both are entering the final year of their two-year contracts and, with all due respect, performed below expectations last season. Our compatriot Clément Desalle is generally expected to regularly participate in the debates for podium places. He only managed to climb the podium twice. This does include the Grand Prix victory in Assen. Jordi Tixier, a former world champion who must now be expected to develop into a solid sub-topper, finished in 14th place in the World Cup, without any outliers.
Monster Energy Kawasaki (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Petar Petrov | 2017 | Stephen Rubini | Adam Sterry |
The official Kawasaki MX2 team had to leave after the departure of Dylan Ferrandis looking for a worthy alternative. Next Petar Petrov, who is starting his last season in the MX2 class, the team started looking for substitutions for the future. They think they have found this in the form of the Frenchman Stephen Rubini. This Frenchman won a few EMX125 races against our Jago Geerts last season, and will now immediately be thrown to the lions in the World Championship MX2 class. Besides this Frenchman is also Adam Sterry to strengthen the team. The 20-year-old Briton has already shown several times that he has decent speed.
BUD Racing Kawasaki | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Tristan Charboneau | 2017 | Marshal Weltin | 2017 | (West Coast SX250 & EMX250) |
Maxime Desprey | Brian Moreau (EMX125) | Kim Savaste (Out in 2017) |
BUD Kawasaki brings, after winning the American last season Darian Sanayei launched in Europe, again taking two Americans to the EMX250. Once again, they are not the least. Of Tristan Charboneau the team can boast a 2-time Loretta Lynn winner. As an Amateur, the young American was a Yamaha product for a long time and was picked up by the Geico Honda youth program in 2015. This Geico Honda team rather unfortunately threw him to the lions in the last AMA 250 outdoor championship when Malcolm Stewart announced that with his build and weight he did not feel like having a bad season on a 250cc. Tristan Charboneau did a decent job as an unprepared 'rookie'. He took part in 7 of the 12 races and finished 20th in the championship. However, this was not enough according to the Geico Honda team. This allows BUD Kawasaki to once again pick up a (much too?) quickly written off youth talent from America for their program. Ryan Surratt is a different story, this young American had a weak showing in 3 after 2015-Loretta Lynn titles, which meant he was not picked up by a professional team. In addition to these 'Yanks' will also Maxime Desprey competing for the team in the French Elite and SX circuit Brian Moreau in the EMX125 championship. Kim Savaste who is also a member of this team will currently miss the entire 2017 season due to the back fracture he sustained during the MXON.
Update: After a few weeks it was decided to continue the collaboration with Ryan Surratt to stop. The American made a mediocre impression during the Bercy Supercross in Lille. The team then returned to America with the young man to conduct test work. However, things did not go smoothly, so it was decided to stop the collaboration. His compatriot Marshal Weltin will replace Ryan Surratt in the EMX250. He will not compete in the West Coast 250 SX Championship, according to BUD' PR. Marshal Weltin will participate in the EMX250.
Update Kim Savaste: Good news for Kim Savaste who broke his back during the Motocross of Nations in Maggiora, Italy. The first signals sent by the doctors and pilot as a team were not very good. The forecasts meant that 2017 was ended. But as we already know, an athlete's body often heals faster than that of an ordinary mortal. Yet it was somewhat of a surprise that the Finn announced on Facebook that he has already resumed physical training at the gym. If everything continues to go well, he can resume motorcycle training in March.

---|---|---|---|---|
Maxime Desprey (MXGP) | 2017 | Marcel Conijn (EMX250) | Bastiaan Boegh-Damm (EMX250) | |
Sem de Lange (EMX85) |
You will also see the name of this Gebben – Van Venrooy Kawasaki team Maxime Desprey emerge. The French BUD Racing Kawasaki and the Gebben – Van Venrooy Kawasaki team have worked out an arrangement regarding the French pilot. This arrangement consists of both teams working together to make the 450cc Kawasaki extremely competitive for the Frenchman. Maxime Desprey will ride for BUD Kawasaki in the French MX and SX Championship and for Gebben – Van Venrooy Kawasaki in the MXGP Championship. The Dutch team will also accommodate the young talents Marcel Conijn en Bastiaan Boegh-Damm who will be at the starting gate in the EMX250. Dutchman Sem de Lange will compete for the team in the 85cc class.
Monster Energy DRT Cosworth Kawasaki | ||

Vsevolod Brylyakov (WKMX2) | Darian Sanayei (WKMX2) | Tommy Searle (MXGP) |
Steve Dixon's team will have three drivers next season. The British team continues to rely on the services of Tommy Searle in the MXGP class and from Vsevolod Brylyakov in the MX2 World Championship. The team also competes in the MX2 World Championship Darian Sanayei institution. This American made his European debut for this team in 2015 during the EMX250 competition in Matterley Bassin. In 2016, Sanayei completed the entire EMX250 for Bud Kawasaki.

Magne Klingsheim (WKMX2) | David Herbreteau (WKMX2) | Ruben Fernandez (EMX250) |
The FH Racing team that competes on Kawasaki will count on the services of Magne Klingsheim en David Herbreteau in the MX2 World Championship. The team will also continue with Rubin Fernandez are active in the EMX250 class.
HRC Gariboldi Honda (MXGP) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tim Gajser | 2020 | Evgeny Bobryshev | 2017 |
The big news from the Honda camp was that Gariboldi Honda would become the official HRC team in 2017. Where the current factory team stood on the foundations of Martin Honda, and where the collaboration did not always run smoothly. The intense collaboration between Gariboldi and the Honda Racing Corporation has run very smoothly over the past two years. Because of this and of course also by winning two world titles, HRC has decided to continue their MXGP program under the Gariboldi tent. They do this with the reigning world champion Tim Gajser en Evgeny Bobryshev.
HRC Martin Honda (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Michele Cervellin (ov) |
Due to ongoing contracts, Martin will run the official MX2 team HRC Honda. According to our information, these had a contract until 2017 to run an official Honda team. A blow to the bill for compatriot Tim Mathys (Standing Construct), who, after his split-up with Louis Voster (Wilvo), would have briefly been in the picture to run the HRC MX2 team. Of course we can never say never with an expiring contract and a manufacturer who is looking for a structure that can make the Honda 250 competitive. And technology and tuning are precisely what Tim Mathys is passionate about with love and compulsion. Now that won't happen in 2017 and Martin Honda can't immediately count on a top rider in the MX2 class. Michele Cervellin has not yet been confirmed to our knowledge, but is as good as a certainty. In the corridors we also hear the name of Julien Lieber. One of the contractless sub-stars, but whether Julien Lieber himself is eager to join forces with this Italian team is doubtful.
Update: This 2017 season seems like a necessary evil to overcome for the HRC family. Because in 2018, according to rumors, together with the all-new Honda CRF250, we would also see a new World Championship MX2 team appear in the paddock. One directly under the management of HRC. But of course 2017 still has to start and be completed first. The pilots who could possibly take their place next to Michele Cervellin are still rumored Julien Lieber. However, the young man would not immediately warm up to the CRF250. Next to our compatriot is also Chihiro Notsuka in picture. Who, you may be asking yourself! The Japanese young man achieved some great results in his home country. However, he is known to us as the man who jumped on Jason Anderson's head during the last Motocross of Nations.
Carglass Honda Racing (EMX250) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jed Beaton | Stefan Ekerold | Ander Valentin (MXGP) |
Honda will again have an official team in the EMX2017 championship in 250. Where JTech Honda used to run this program, this task will now be taken over by the new Carglass Honda Racing team. This team calls on German Stefan Ekerold, who finished third in the 'ADAC Youngster Cup'. In this championship he made things difficult for gentlemen like Miro Sihvonen, Bas Vaessen, Luca Nijenhuis, etc. This German talent is joined by the Australian talent Jed Beaton. This lad became Australian MX2 Champion last season and is highly respected by Josh Coppins for his work ethic. The team may add another MXGP pilot to their line-up.
Update: The MXGP pilot that Carglass Honda has added to their line-up will be called Ander Valentin. The almost 23-year-old Spaniard made his debut in the MXGP Class in 2016. He finished that season with 9 points, good for 40th in the final rankings.
24MX Honda (MXGP) – Subject to change | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Milko potisek | Damon Graulus |
The 24MX Honda team had a difficult season full of injuries in 2016. Both of their pilots: Ken Dycker en Matisse Carro hardly contested matches in their team's colors. This negative spiral reportedly continues into these autumn and winter months. The team is still looking forward to it, but the budgetary specter is wandering around. They would like to be at the start in 2017 Milko potisek en Damon Graulus, with the support of some loyal sponsors. But after a few lean years, Honda no longer wants to accept the same conditions as before. The start of the World Cup is still three months away, only time will tell whether this will be enough to ultimately get the budget picture right.
Update: There is still no news about the 24MX Honda team for the time being. In this case, no news is not necessarily good news. A few weeks ago I heard the encouraging news that there is (was?) still an open line to Honda. But with only 71 days left to go to Qatar, the situation becomes precarious, especially if participating in all Grand Prix competitions is a goal and also an obligation of Honda.

Valentin Guillod | 2017 | Alexandro Lupino | 2017? | ||
EMX250 | |||||
Mathys Boisramè | Alberto Furato |
No more Kei Yamamoto at the Italian AssoMotor Honda. The team will compete in 2017 Valentin Guillod who signed a contract until the end of 2017. His teammate in the MXGP class is Alexandro Lupino who has been part of the team since day 1. The team will also compete in the European 250cc Championship. That's what they appeal to Alberto Furato and the better known Mathys Boisramè who became French Elite MX2 champion this season, on Yamaha.
Update: News that stayed under the radar but certainly has some news value for your expert audience is the fact that Valentin Guillod and former Grand Prix pilot Yves Demaria have stopped their collaboration. Both worked together for about three years. Yves Demaria's idiosyncratic view also (in)directly caused the split between Valentin Guillod and Standing Construct Yamaha last year.
VAMO Honda Racing (MX2 World Championship) | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lars van Berkel | 2017 | Michael Ivanov |
When we look at the Belgian VAMO Honda team, we see that this team will focus on the EMX250 WKMX2 championship. This is what they will do with Michael Ivanov and the popular Dutchman Lars van Berkel.
Update: The VAMO Honda team will contest the WKMX2, and not the EMX250, as we previously incorrectly stated.
MotoBlouz Honda (French Elite Championships) | ||
---|---|---|
Xavier Boog (MX1) | Richard Fura (MX1) | Fabien Izoird (SX1) |
Thomas Do (MX2) |
Added MotoBlouz Honda: One of the larger teams in the French motocross world is the MotoBlouz Honda team. We will not regularly see this team in action during the Grand Prix competitions. Still, it is interesting to know who hosts this Honda team. Of Xavier Bow it has roped in an old acquaintance from the MXGP world. Xavier Boog comes over from BUD Racing Kawasaki. In addition to this veteran, it also counts in the French Motocross Championship Richard Fura. If you are a viewer of Le Touquet, this name will probably sound familiar. In addition to the Elite Motocross Championship, he also contests the commercially important Beach Cross Championship in France. This duo is joined by supercross specialists Thomas Do who will contest the French MX2 and SX2 Championship and Fabien Izoird who chooses Supercross only. The team sees Valentin Teillet leave for the French Team VRT.

Zach Pichon (EMX250) | 2017? | Jett Lawrence (EMX85) | 2018? | Liam Everts (EMX85) |
Last season was one of ups and downs for the Everts Suzuki team. The team therefore started looking for reinforcements. Reinforcements that can eventually become world class players. These reinforcements come from everywhere. So we see Zach Pichon from Yamaha's official training team. He will compete for the Suzuki team in the EMX250 championship. In the MX2 World Championship the team comes with Jeremy Seewer, who is entering his last year in this class, Bas Vaessen which comes over from the EMX250 and Hunter Lawrence. The latter comes together with his brother Jett Lawrence, who will participate in the EMX85 together with Liam Evert, from the Monster Energy Kawasaki team. Hunter Lawrence already won one EMX2016 race in 250 and finished in the top 5 and top 10 several times before he tore his cruciate ligaments. Signed in the MXGP class Armin Jasikonis a one-year contract and sits Kevin Strijbos in the last year of his current contract. So both have an important year ahead of them.
JTech Suzuki | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ken De Dycker (MXGP) | 2017 | Emil Weckman (EMX250) | Giuseppe Tropepe |
Big news at JTech is that the team will no longer be on Honda for the upcoming season. The team switches to Suzuki. This with the support of Suzuki Italy. The team already has Emil Weckman can capture. The promising Finn won the Honda 2015 championship in 2016 and 150 with a striking margin.
Update: In addition to the talented Emil Weckman, the Jtech Suzuki team has been able to strengthen itself with: Ken Dycker. The bear from Lubbeek will try to put a failed 2016 behind him with the team due to injury. In addition to Ken De Dycker in the MXGP class and Emil Weckman in the EMX250 division, the Italian will Giuseppe Tropepe complete the team. He in turn competes in the WKMX2.

Added JPM Racing: The JPM Racing team from France won both classes in the French SX Tour championship last season with Cedric Soubeyras and Florent Richier. Next season the team will again mainly compete in French competitions with their champions Cedric Soubeyras en Florent Richier.
It is not yet clear in which class the reigning SX2 SX Tour champion Florent Richier will compete. In addition to these two, the team will also call on: Nicolas Barcelo, the team also expects to add a fourth pilot to the lineup.

Samuele Bernardini (WKMX2) | Mattia Guadagnini (EMX125) | Paolo Lugana (EMX125) |
There is currently no wind at the Factory TM team. We assume that Samuel Bernardini After his good past season, he will remain in the stable where he achieved these results. It is unclear to us whether the Italian brand is in discussions or looking for an MXGP pilot. There will undoubtedly be a few more EMX125 pilots.
Update: The two EMX125 pilots who will join the Factory TM team in 2017 are Matthias Guadagnini en Paulo Lugana, both Italians.

Mathias Plessers (EMX300) |
The KK Satellite TM Racing team will excel next season Wyatt Chase. The New Zealander participated in several 'Dutch Master of Motocross' motos in the 125cc category last season and clearly showed that he has talent. We do not know in which category he will start for the KK Satellite TM Racing team. His teammate Krisztian Tompa will then start again in the EMX250 championship. Last season the Romanian made his debut on the 125cc machine and scored 2 points in the EMX125 championship.
Update: Also the Frenchman JP Riondet and the Belgian Mathias Plessers will join the team. The Frenchman Riondet will do this in the EMX250 class, while our compatriot Mathias Plessers chooses to remain active in the EMX300 class, where he finished eighth in the final championship standings last season.
