Davy Pootjes is moving to HSF Logistics!
The places in the official Red Bull KTM Factory truck are limited with Jeffrey Herlings (MXGP) and Pauls Jonass (MX2) as certainties. It was time to see who would take the third spot. Who doesn't get it yet is Dutchman Davy Pootjes. He moves to the Dutch HSF Logistics KTM team for the 2017 season.
However, it was announced that the young Dutchman will continue to be able to count on factory support from KTM until 2019. This immediately provides something more clear within the 'KTM family'. The Austrian manufacturer now just has to wait and see who will actually claim the spot. We are betting on the Spaniard Jorge Prado Garcia. This does mean that New Zealander Josiah Natzke, who is still under contract until 2019, will get a place in another supported KTM team.

PRESS RELEASE: HSF Logistics Motorsport team contracts Davy Pootjes
The HSF Logistics Motorsport team has entered into an agreement with Davy Pootjes from Ammerzoden. Pootjes is a young talented rider who has already shown great things in the MX2 World Championship at a young age. His highlight was a third place in the first round of the MX2 Grand Prix in Latvia in 2015.
In 2017, Pootjes will ride the full MX2 World Championship and the Dutch Masters of Motocross together with Brian Bogers and Calvin Vlaanderen. This year Pootjes had the speed for good results, but due to various injuries he had to miss many matches. Davy is currently recovering from arm surgery, which took place earlier this week. Davy will be able to resume motorcycle training in six weeks, but in the meantime he can work on his fitness so that he can get back on the motorcycle fit again soon.
“Thanks to the close collaboration with KTM Austria, we have been able to incorporate Davy into our team and we can offer him a strong basis for achieving great results in the coming years. We are a Dutch team and that is why it is good that we will be at the start in the MX2017 World Championship in 2 with three Dutch riders. Davy has had some bad luck this year, but we are going to do everything we can to guide him well so that he can achieve the results he has in him," says team manager Martin van Genderen.
The HSF Logistics Motorsport team will soon start preparing for the 2017 season. There are no fewer than twenty Grand Prix's on the program, including two on Dutch soil: Valkenswaard and Assen. The championship starts in Qatar on February 25 and the final match is scheduled for September 17 in Villars Sous Ecot, France. It will be a busy year, but the HSF Logistics Motorsport team will do everything it can to ensure that everything is in order and to perform strongly.
