No Justin Barcia nor Benoit Paturel at the SMX!
One month ago, Justin Barcia was added to the Yamaha team, while the team already consisted of three pilots. Now, a few days before the event, the young man has to cancel again. He himself will probably not find it an interesting spectacle, but let us call it the last pinpricks of a painful separation between the team of Justin Barcia, Joe Gibbs Racing and Yamaha. In all likelihood, Justin Barcia will be on Suzuki in 2017 together with his teammates Weston Peick and Phill Nicoletti.
In addition to Justin Barcia, Benoit Peturel also has to depose. He was part of the winning MXON team a few weeks ago, and would undoubtedly have attracted some attention. The man who will now complete the team is the vice French SX2 Supercross champion Yannis Irsuti, he competes for the Yamaha 2B team. He will compete alongside former world champion Romain Febvre and our compatriot Brent Vandoninck.
