Prado and Cairoli on pole in Assen
Today we had the Qualifying Races for the last Grand Prix on European soil this season in Assen, the Netherlands. In the MX2 class, the victory surprisingly went to Spaniard Jorge Prado-Garcia and among MXGP riders it was Antonio Cairoli who took the victory.

In the MXGP class, home rider Glen Coldenhoff was able to enjoy the lead in front of his home crowd and then it was teammate Antonio Cairoli who took over command. Once the Italian Red Bull KTM rider was in the lead, he was simply unstoppable and rode to victory unthreatened. Glen Coldenhoff took second place and our compatriot Clement Desalle finished just as well in third place in the loose sand of Assen. In fourth place we got our second compatriot with Jeremy Van Horebeek and Kevin Strijbos was just outside the top ten with his eleventh place. The leader in the standings Tim Gajser crossed the finish line in number seven, which was better than Romain Febvre and Evgeny Bobryshev who did not even finish. Of our other compatriots, Damon Graulus was the best placed with a 24th place. Kevin Wouts finished 20th and the returning Ken De Dijcker finished 23rd just ahead of Jeffrey Dewulf.

MX2
In the MX2 class it was not the expected Jeffrey Herlings, but his teammate Jorge Prado-Garcia who took victory in the MX2 Qualifying Race. The Spaniard was immediately in the lead and was only threatened by Jeffrey Herlings, but the Dutchman dropped out just before halfway with mechanical problems and had to go to the riders' park on foot. The road was immediately open for Prado and he rode to victory in this Qualifying Race ahead of the Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen and Brian Bogers. Our first compatriot was Brent Van Doninck in fourteenth place and Nathan Renkens finished in 24th place in this qualifying series.
