Glenn Bielen starts quest for the championship!
After a dramatic race weekend in Hasselt on July 24, where Glenn Bielen saw his lead in the Belgian U26 Championship change from 9 points to a deficit of 15 points due to a crash and associated injury, it was now time for the traditional appointment on XNUMX August on Keiheuvel.
The assignment on the extremely heavy boulder hill in Balen was as difficult as it was simple. Make up as much of the backlog as possible. After an eighth fastest time in the qualifications, the day seemed to start hopefully. But hope soon disappeared when the first heat started very sadly. Due to a crash on the first lap, Glenn Bielen only finished fifth on his vd Laar Yamaha, which was lubricated by VROOAM Lubricans. It was immediately clear that this first round could not be a piece of cake. Fortunately, with a lot of effort, some of the lopsided situation could be corrected. The MXFORCE-clad pilot powered his way through the competition. This in order to ultimately place themselves fifth in the results.
In the second heat we saw a much better start to the race. For a while the young Limburger struggled with the imposed rhythm, but once he got into the rhythm the match was completed successfully and at the front. A third place in the promises category was therefore a result that led to satisfaction. The day's victory was not possible with a fifth and a third place. But the VE Racing pilot was allowed to take second place on the podium! Glenn also did good business in the rankings, where he saw his deficit shrink from 9 to 5 points. The next competition counting for the Belgian Championship will take place next Sunday in Orp-Le-Grand. There, Glenn Bielen continues his quest for the Belgian FMB-BMB UXNUMX title!
