Jeffrey Herlings will not start in the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic
Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory team will not start in the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic this Sunday. Herlings broke his collarbone in the second round of the Dutch Masters in Halle and had surgery on the following Monday.
To give his collarbone extra rest, it was decided not to participate in the race in the Czech Republic. "It is always difficult to miss a race, but at the moment it is more important to let my collarbone heal properly so that it is strong enough to be able to absorb all the blows of cross-country racing again soon. We saw last year what it led to getting back on the bike too quickly and I want to avoid that this year," said Jeffrey Herlings.
The collarbone injury will be re-examined by the doctor every week and based on this a plan will be made when Herlings will appear behind the starting gate again.
Before the start of the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Herlings is 169 points ahead of Jeremy Seewer and a maximum of 50 points can be scored in the Czech Republic!
