Glenn Bielen ends DMofMX with a highlight!
Last weekend the fifth and final round of the 'Dutch Masters of Motorcross' was held in Halle, Netherlands. VE Racing pilot Glenn Bielen started with extra confidence at the 'de Kappenbulten' circuit. Confidence gained after various tests with Pierre Slegers from PPS Uitlaten. The v/d Laar Yamaha had found extra power with the PPS exhaust and this should now result in a top result.
Unfortunately, the timed training did not go as hoped. Only a thirty-second time could be achieved on the tables. A good starting position could therefore immediately be forgotten, it became a place on the second starting row. A downer, but nothing more than that.
In the first heat we saw Glenn come through in the first lap, on his VROOAM Lubricants lubricated machine, in place twenty-nine. So there was a lot of work ahead if the young man from Limburg wanted to come close to the points. In the scorching heat, he completed lap after lap flawlessly, steadily passing the competitors. A tactic that paid off and earned him twenty-first place. Not the result that was hoped for, but decent for the circumstances.
At the start of the second heat we saw the pilot dressed by 'MXFORCE' fidgeting through the crowd in the first corner. From the second row of the grid, he arrived in twenty-second place on the first lap. The VE Racing pilot immediately found his rhythm. After two rounds, seventeenth place was already occupied by the group from DC Shoes Belgium. Glenn kept up this tight rhythm under a still blazing sun. Held up by his strong condition, the massive crowd in Halle saw Glenn Bielen roll up his competition one by one. This led to a nice eleventh place at the finish, just one second away from the top ten. Immediately the strongest result for Glenn Bielen in his 'Dutch Masters of Motocross' career. His debut season in this highly regarded 125cc competition tastes sweet and, above all, he wants more!
