Eli Tomac and Alex Martin win Washougal National
Eli Tomac and Alex Martin won the ninth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship held at the beautiful Washougal circuit. In the 450 Class, Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac both took a series win and a second place, but because Tomac managed to win the second series, the day's victory went to the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider. Third place went to Red Bull KTM rider Marvin Musquin, who twice crossed the finish line as number three. The other Frenchman Christophe Pourcel was in a duel for second place with Tomac in the first heat until he crashed heavily. Fortunately, Pourcel was still able to continue in the second series without much damage and took a good sixth place. In the standings, Ken Roczen continues to hold on to the leading position and still has a gap of 55 points on second man Eli Tomac.

In the 250 Class, victory went to Yamalube/Star Yamaha Racing rider Alex Martin (1-2) ahead of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Team youngster Austin Forkner (10-1). The series were won in Washougal by Alex Martin and Austin Fockner. Third place went to the leader in the standings Cooper Webb (3-6) and therefore remains in the lead with a lead of 51 points over Jeremy Martin.
