EMX125: Rubini wins but Jago Geerts remains leader
In Mantova, Italy we had the sixth test for the EMX125 riders. Our compatriot Jago Geerts, who is in the lead in the standings, took a nice second place. On Saturday during the first series, Geerts only finished third after a less good start, but made up for that on Sunday during the second series by taking the win.
However, he had to leave the victory in Mantova to home rider Stephen Rubini, who convincingly won the first series on Saturday and finished second behind our compatriot on Sunday. This means that the Italian Silver Action KTM rider was able to make up two points in the standings over Jago Geerts. The difference is now about nine points in favor of our compatriot with only two games to go in Belgium and Switzerland. The home match in the Lommel sand in particular should turn out to be something of an advantage for Jago Geerts.
