Ferrandis and Gajser win Qualifying in Spain
Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Dylan Ferrandis dominated the MX2 Qualifying Race in Talavera. After the Frenchman took the holeshot, things almost went wrong just before halfway through the race when he went off track with his Kawasaki and almost lost control. But apart from this incident, he controlled the match and took the win ahead of Pauls Jonass and Benoit Paturel. The leader in the standings Jeffrey Herlings did not get a good start, but by setting some super fast laps he still finished fourth, following Paturel and Jonass. Our compatriots did not appear in the piece in this Qualifying Race, Jens Getteman was flagged as 26th and Bryan Boulard was already 32nd. Kemea Yamaha rider Brent Van Doninck disappeared from the race after a few laps.

Tim Gajser was the man who dominated the MXGP Qualifying Race. Max Nagl was briefly allowed to taste the leadership position, but then it was the Slovenian who quickly took over and was no longer threatened for victory. There was something going on in the background in the second round. Shaun Simpson seemed to stop the bike at the top of the mountain with Febvre and Paulin in his wake, these two riders had nowhere to go and rode behind the Brit. These three riders fell and then Cairoli came past the inside and hit Febvre full from the back. The Frenchman immediately grabbed his arm and a little later also received assistance from the emergency services next to the circuit. A little later we saw Febvre riding away again on the motorcycle towards the riders' park. As we already mentioned, Tim Gajser won these qualifications ahead of Max Nagl and Evgeny Bobryshev.
Clement Desalle was our best compatriot with fifth place and Jeremy Van Horebeek took ninth place. For Kevin Strijbos it started dramatically with a fall a few meters after the starting gate had fallen. Yet the Suzuki World MXGP rider was still able to manage a twentieth place.
