Glenn Bielen continues to advance in Belgian Championship!
Over the past two weekends, Glenn Bielen took action in the Belgian U10 Championship. The VE Racing pilot had a decent race on April 1 in Lommel. In the first moto, a crash resulted in a seventh place overall, immediately good for a fourth place in his Promising category. In the second moto we saw the young man on his v/d Laar Yamaha at a higher level. A better fourth place overall, good for a first place among the Beloften, was what was now reserved for him. Unfortunately, a four/one score was not enough for the day's victory. Glenn took second place on the day's podium after a day in Lommel, behind Ludovic Bral (2-2) and Tallon Verhelst (3-XNUMX).
It goes without saying that Glenn Bielen went to the former Grand Prix circuit in Mons last Sunday with a lot of motivation. The Funnelweb Filter pilot wanted to correct the 5 points he had lost to competitor Bral in Lommel. Good time training that earned him third place was a strong indication of motivation.
In the first heat we saw a reasonable start from 'King Kong', the VROOAM Lubricants pilot managed to turn into the first corner in around tenth place. He immediately started rolling up competitors, until he eventually finished third in the race, but first promised Tallon Verhelst. Both made each other's lives miserable for rounds. Both could claim third place, but with 0.960 it was Tallon Verhelst who came out on top. Glenn had to settle for fourth place overall and a second place in the UXNUMX category.
The second heat started disastrously, with a disastrous start from our Limburger. For the first few metres, the Yamaha seemed like a stubborn horse that had no desire to trot fast. He was one of the last to enter the first corner. Like a man possessed, the pilot supported by DC Shoes started his recovery, one by one all his colleagues had to believe in his frenzy of overtaking. After long rounds of chasing, it was Tallon Verhelst who crossed paths again. But now there was no problem with the VE Racing pilot who rode on and over Tallon Verhelst, to a fourth place overall, and a first place in the Beloften category.
With a good second and hard-fought first place in the Promise category, the day's victory also belonged to a very satisfied Glenn Bielen. In the promises category he was ahead of Tallon Verhelst (1-2) and Ludovic Bral (4-3). The latter conceded 9 points in Mons and is now on 21 points in the BK Standings, the third in the championship Tallon Verhelst already follows on 52 points due to injuries.
