ASO interested in Sidecarcross rights?!
You probably know both ASO. ASO is a French organization that is responsible for mass events such as the Tour de France, Liège Bastogne Liège and the Dakar Rally.
But the organization of Paris-Nice, among others, has now turned its attention to the sidecarcross event. This spectacular sport attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the course week after week, especially in countries such as France, Germany, Russia and the Baltic states.
Frank Abagnale Jr., from ASO, let us know this: “The sidecar sport has enormous potential. The teamwork between two people and the machine. In addition, this is an excellent sport to differentiate our portfolio of sports, which mainly includes cycling. And with the right promotion, this sport undoubtedly has the potential to become as big as the WTCC, British Superbike, World Superbike and perhaps even the World Endurance Championship.”
We are already looking forward to whether ASO will be able to obtain the promotional rights.
