VE Racing and Glenn Bielen make it 2 on 2 at BK der Promises!
Last weekend the International Motocross de Molenbergen in Wuustwezel was on the program. For the Beloften class, this competition also counted for the Belgian championship. Of course, Glenn Bielen from Van Eeckhoven Racing was also at the start on his Van de Laar Yamaha.
On a beautiful course and under a radiant sun, Glenn did not have the best start in the first heat. But soon he was able to make up a lot of places. After two laps, the Limburger arrived in sixth place and ended up among the faster drivers. Based on physical and character, he then took on the competition one by one. As a result, the pilot supported by Funnelweb ultimately managed to send his VD Laar Yamaha across the finish line in fourth overall. This result was also good for second place in the Promising category.
In second heat the start was similar, but already in the first lap we saw many crashes from Glenn's competitors. However, the VE Racing pilot managed to stay out of trouble and easily moved up to third place. After a few laps of pushing towards the two leaders, Glenn decided to settle for third place overall, which was also good for first place in the promises category. Thanks to his second and first place, the VROOAM Lubricants-supported rider also takes home the day's victory. In the standings for the Belgian championship, Bielen is in the lead after two games, 16 points ahead of Ludovic Bral. The third in the standings, Ian De Sweemer, is 29 points behind.
Glenn Bielen: “The day didn't start very well with a 6e time in qualifying. When it was time to race I had a bad start in both motos, in the first moto this cost me dearly and I had to pass quite a few riders throughout the entire series. In the second moto I had some luck in the opening laps and quickly reached 3rd overall. Once I got there I knew I was first in my class and I took it a little easier so as not to risk my victory.”
