Dungey has to go all out in SX Indianapolis
In Indianapolis we had the thirteenth race for the AMA Monster Energy Supercross series and it was quite something. In the Lucas Oil Stadium we saw a blood-curdling final between the leader in the standings Ryan Dungey and his closest pursuer Ken Roczen. The RCH Suzuki rider forced Dungey to push himself to the limit in the final laps of this Main Event. With four laps to go, Dungey made a mistake and Roczen eagerly responded to take over the lead. But it didn't last long because Roczen also made a mistake a little later and Dungey took over the leading position again. With three laps to go, everything was still possible and Roczen tried to get back in touch. As of the very last lap, Roczen was back on the wheel and even lapped the seventh rider in the race, Christophe Pourcel, so quickly it went to the front. Yet it was Ryan Dungey who took his seventh victory. This was the most difficult victory of the entire season for the leader in the standings. Jason Anderson took third place, but was already almost half a minute behind the two trendsetters in Indianapolis.

The leader in the standings Malcolm Stewart came second in Indianapolis and did an excellent job because the favorite for the title Jeremy Martin again dropped out and remained scoreless. In the standings, Stewart now has a lead of 10 points over Plessinger and 25 over third man Martin Davalos. Jeremy Martin is now fourth on 28 points with four races to go in this SX250 East Coast class.
